One of Ameristep's offerings, the Care Taker Run & Gun, is a downsized version of the original Care Taker design, still accommodating two hunters. The reduced footprint and overall weight make it easier to transition to multiple locations.

The Care Taker Run & Gun features a lightweight and durable construction, thanks to its Spider Hub frame design, which is a superior metal-stamped hub that maximizes strength to withstand extreme weather conditions for years of use. The outer shell is made of Durashell Plus, a custom-woven, matte-finish material that contributes to the blind's lightweight and durable nature.

The entire blind is covered in Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camo, while the interior features a black ShadowGuard coating to ensure that shadows and silhouettes do not give away the hunter's hideout. Unlike some other blinds, the Care Taker Run & Gun does not have mesh windows.

The dimensions of the Care Taker Run & Gun are 49.5" L x 49.5" W x 65" H, with a footprint of 49.5" x 49.5" and a shooting width of 65". The blind features a Silent Toggles window system and includes a hub blind, carry bag, ground stakes, and high wind tie-downs.
